Daisy Will Support You No Matter What

Intro

This is my Daisy support Deck at the start of “The Forgotten Age” (TFA) campaign. I played this deck in a team of 4 investigators: Mark Harrigan (pure combat), Wendy Adams (combat, evasion), Jenny Barnes (investigation, evasion) and Daisy (support/healer, investigation).

Strategy

At the beginning of the campaign (TFA) your tasks are in order of importance: survive, gather clues and support.

1. Survive: With only 2, a mediocre 3 and 5 health, you can kick the bucket pretty quickly if you don’t pay attention, especially in the TFA campaign. Your health is your most precious resource at the start of the campaign so never take risks or unnecessary hits. Dr. William T. Maleson and David Renfield are some good cheap meat shields that will help you survive. Ward of Protection is also an essential card, that may save your skin or prevent a doom token coming into play. Mind over Matter is only here just in case the worst happens and you end up engaged with an enemy with nobody near to save you…or if you end up getting Entombed. I would also recommend asking the guardian of the team to run “Let me handle this!”, just to add some redundancy and considering that TFA can sometimes be very unforgiving. With all this insurance you have good chances of staying alive.

2. Investigation: This is a support build meaning you won’t be running much investigation cards as usual. You should let the main investigator of the team get the best clue-gathering tools like Dr. Milan Christopher or even St. Hubert’s Key. Still, you have to always contribute to clue-gathering and Daisys high allows you to get away with running few investigation support cards. Magnifying Glass and Deduction will for sure accelerate your clue gathering. Also, make sure to get Higher Education to ensure you always have investigation power.

3. Support: Even though at the start, you only have the good Old Book of Lore, Logical Reasoning and Shortcut to support the team, as you gain experience you would be getting more and more support cards that will ensure you fulfill your role in the team. Your end goal will be to get Strange Solution, Ancient Stone and No Stone Unturned. With this kind of support power, not only you but also your whole team will become extremely resilient and because of No Stone Unturned you can pull the insane combos more reliably or fish for that The Gold Pocket Watch your fellow rogue investigator is hiding at the bottom of his/her deck.

ConclusionFull support may not sound very sexy but it is actually really fun to play and I like to see how cards that are often ignored at lower player counts can be soo good at 3+ investigator teams. A support deck not only ensures you and your team may live another day but also allows your fellow investigators to run less damage/horror soakers, focus more on combat/investigation/evasion and even play more “dangerously”.

If you have any suggestions to better the deck or any question pls leave a comment!

PD: Deny Existence seems to be awesome in this build. It is only not included because I haven’t try it yet (I don’t have my copy of the Circle Undone yet :P).
