October has officially arrived, but it’s more than just a new month in the year. It also marks the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The disease affects many, with roughly 225,000 women receiving a breast cancer diagnosis every year, according to the CDC. To fund research, resources, and support networks, a number of brands launch products and awareness initiatives throughout October.

Businesses from a wide range of industries typically step up for the cause, including the home and design sector. This year we’ve found a selection of items to shop, from chic printed wallpapers to cozy throw blankets—all of which lead to more awareness and financial support. See the home and lifestyle brands below that, with the help of a purchase from you, will be giving a portion of their proceeds to nonprofits, organizations, and charities that are centered on beating breast cancer and supporting those who have it.

Wallpaper and paint manufacturer Graham & Brown is collaborating with CoppaFeel! this year. The charity is based in the UK and brings breast cancer awareness to a community that’s often left out of the conversation: young adults.

The company has crafted Simply the Breast—a brand new, limited edition wallpaper design that will be released in October and sold until January 2023. It’s a modern and stylish print featuring chic drawings of women in lingerie. While it’s a great statement piece for any wall, it’s meant to encourage self-examinations and being in tune with your own health. With a purchase of every roll, Graham & Brown will donate a percentage to CoppaFeel!.

Fall calls for wrapping yourself up in cozy throw blankets. Even better is finding an option that simultaneously supports a breast cancer charity or foundation. This month, LOVEVOLVE is donating 15% of all its adult large love blanket purchases to the Breast Cancer Alliance, a foundation that deeply believes in funding early-stage research.

LOVEVOLVE was created after the founder learned the power of seeing positive words spread out on canvases and in turn created products with the word “love” that shoppers could wrap themselves and their little ones in. Taking part in Breast Cancer Awareness Month is only fitting.

Candy bowls are a popular purchase come October (Halloween festivities, anyone?) but having sweet treats within reach year-round is never a bad idea. For a fitting home product—and one that goes beyond a simple purchase—Suzy Levain will be donating a percentage of the proceeds of its pink crystal candy dish.

Throughout the year the brand donates 20% of its proceeds to a variety of organizations. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, it will be doing the same, but focusing on three foundations in particular: National Breast Cancer Foundation, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Throw blankets and sweaters are autumn staples and they feel much more special when they stand for an important cause. Knitwise makes it possible to take images and designs chosen by you and turn them into wearable and usable knit pieces. It’s a perfect collaboration for creating an item that warmly shows support during BCA Month.

Rather than choosing your own design, the company has a Breast Cancer Awareness collection with premade sweaters and blankets featuring minimal, but powerful designs. During the month of October, it’ll be giving 50% of the profits from purchases of the collection toLiving Beyond Breast Cancer. The nonprofit focuses on supporting people with breast cancer diagnoses through informative content and events.

If you’re a big fan of warm drinks (who isn’t during fall?) and frequent your local coffee shop, a reusable mug is a must-have. Like water bottles, these are one item that’s hard to get enough of and rather than choosing another plain color or neutral, you can add a pop of pink to your collection with MyBevi’s limited edition tumbler.

There are two tumblers and a water bottle to choose from that can hold and maintain the temperatures of hot and cold beverages alike. The company will be showing its support all throughout October by donating 10% of the sales of any pink products to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

Perfect as a gift or to keep for yourself, Bloomscape’s pink anthurium potted plant will bring a little pink into your houseplant collection. It’s low maintenance nature and preference for bright, indirect light mean that the plant’s owner doesn’t need to have a green thumb to keep the anthurium alive. The plant comes in an ecopot and saucer available in five different colors.

For all purchases of this plant and others in their Pink Collection made during the month of October, Bloomscape is donating 20 percent of sales to Glida’s Club Metro Detroit, a foundation dedicated to the supporting those impacted by breast cancer and raise awareness.
