1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run utility.
2. Type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
3. Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Client . Click on the Client subkey and find the value called Version on the right-panel.
5. Double click on it and note down the Value Data somewhere, like in a notebook.
6. Right-click on the Client subkey and select the Permissions option. This will open a new tab.
7. Click on the Advanced option.
8. Select the Change option beside the Owner. This will open the Select User or Group dialog box.
9. Type Administrators on the Enter the object name
10. Click on the Check Names option to ascertain that a correct object has been input.
11. Select OK to save the changes.
12. Click on Apply and OK on the next window as well.
13. Download click on the Version value again.
14. Change the Value data to 4.5.0.
15. Select OK to save the changes.
16. Now, keep the Registry Editor running and run the AutoCAD installer.
17. After the installation completes, navigate to the following registry key again:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Client . Click on the Client subkey and double click on the Version value.
19. Change the Value data from 4.5.0 to what it was earlier, which you noted down.
20. Click on OK to save the changes.
21. Close Registry Editor and start AutoCAD.
