In case you missed the news, the PS5 VRR update (Variable Refresh Rate) is now officially live (and here’s how to enable it), allowing gamers to finally make full use of their VRR TVs and/or monitors for Sony’s latest gaming console. While that’s all good, it seems that the community has already been testing out their sets and reporting back in, with some working, while others not. Well, much like our PS5 120fps monitor article, we here at MP1st have prepared yet another list, this time focusing on those with VRR support. Here is a list of supported PS5 VRR TVs and monitors.

First off, full credit to Reddit user RTCananda for starting a Reddit thread to keep track of all these monitors, as well as all those who have already contributed on reporting in the thread. Down below you’ll find a current list of confirmed VRR TVs and monitors that the PS5 supports.

Note that the implementation of VRR that Sony has does appear to be limited with a number of sets having limited functionality, or don’t work at all. There are also some sets here that support VRR on the PS5, but are encountering issues such as flickering, shimmering, or black screen. Be sure that the HDMI you are connected to is the TV’s 2.1 port as not all ports are 2.1. If you are encountering issues still, please let us know for documentation purposes. If a set you own doesn’t appear to be working but works on other devices such as a PC and and Xbox Series, then it is most likely due to the limited support Sony has released for the PS5. Hopefully that changes down the road with system updated to expand the VRR support.

As noted, the list of monitors and TVs that don’t work are subjected to change as Sony continues to rollout more VRR support in the future. That does not guarantee those sets will work, but there is some hope if you happen to own an unsupported set.
