Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is a new streaming device from Xiaomi that was supposed to appear in May (Mi TV Stick Probably in May 2020). All indications are that this will be the case.

Xiaomi Mi TV Stick More Details
Recently you could read about the TiVo Stream 4K streaming device. The device is also in HDMI Stick / HDMI TV Dongle format. As you can see in this format the devices are becoming more and more popular. Xiaomi also decided on this type of home entertainment device format.

Similar to Tivo Stream 4K, Mi TV Stick is powered by Amlogic S905Y2SoC (dedicated devices in HDMI Stick format). The device also has 2GB RAM DDR4 and 8GB eMMC. The Mi TV Dongle probably runs Android TV 9.0 with PatchWall. Certainly, just like in Mi TV Boxes, we expect 4K streaming support for popular services such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Youtube, and many more. Certainly, the device is certified by Google. Of course, it supports voice control via Google Assistant. However, we don’t see anywhere a Bluetooth remote control that could implement voice control and easy operation of the device. In the package, you will find only 4K TV Stick, HDMI cable, and English Manual. Maybe it won’t change.

Whether the device will also offer interesting features, such as skipping app-switching (as it is in TiVo Stream 4K), we will soon learn more. We also hope that the price will change soon. At the given price, Mi TV Stick cannot compete with the TiVo streaming device, Roku Ultra, or Amazon Fire Stick.
